This role provides an opportunity to contribute to BCG’s client work and knowledge base by conducting business research across variety of topics and markets. You will be expected to work alongside BCG consultants and knowledge experts and contribute through high quality data/insights that will facilitate decision making during client engagements.

Basic job responsibilities

- Conduct insights driven business research by leveraging relevant and credible industry sources

- Connect/discuss with BCG consultants/knowledge team members to better understand the context and clarify the information needs

- Draw deep and actionable insights by triangulating and synthesizing data from variety of sources

- Build fact based deliverables and summarize into appropriate and timely output format (e.g., slides, email-notes, word, excel)

- Develop good understanding of the assigned sector/topic through knowledge development and codification

- Develop basic understanding of the BCG research toolkit – problem solving, synthesis, slide writing, excel modelling and business writing

- Assist fellow team colleagues as requested and approach all interactions and deliverables with the highest levels of quality and customer service

• - fluent in both Japanese and English
• - Solid problem-solving orientation, ability to work in a fast-paced, team and service-oriented environment
• - Accuracy and strong attention to detail; ability to prioritize and multi-task; strong communication skills (written and oral)
• - Good familiarity with business concepts, proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
